Kundli Matching — also called Guna Milan or Ashtakoota Milan — is the traditional Vedic method for assessing compatibility between two people before marriage. It compares the Moon sign and Nakshatra of both birth charts across eight compatibility factors (kootas), producing a score out of 36 points.
This system has been used in Indian marriage traditions for centuries and remains the most common method families use today to evaluate a match before proceeding with a relationship or wedding.

What is Mangal Dosha?
Mangal Dosha (also called Manglik Dosha) occurs when Mars is placed in certain houses of a birth chart. It's checked separately from the 36-point score. If both people in a match are Manglik, the doshas are generally considered to cancel each other out.
